Miss SAKE, the annual contest to find an ambassador for Japan which will present and market sake but also Japanese culture and history to different countries all around the world.Winner that was crowned Miss Sake 2026 was Ms. Shizu Nagase, representing Fukushima Prefecture. The competition took place at the Westin Miyako Kyoto.

Hello everyone,My name is Shizu Nagase, and I am deeply honored to serve as 2026 Miss SAKE Japan.
On June 13, 2026, I was privileged to be selected as the 13th Miss SAKE Japan. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me on this journey.
Although Japan is a small island nation, each region possesses its own unique climate, culture, history, and traditions. These differences are beautifully reflected in sake. Every bottle carries the unique character of its region, telling a story shaped by the land and its people.
I truly believe that sake is a universal language that connects people.
Even when we do not share the same language, a toast brings smiles to our faces. Gathering around a glass allows us to connect beyond nationality, profession, or background.
At the same time, every country has its own alcohol culture to be proud of. Behind every drink lies a unique history and story. By learning about these traditions, we deepen our understanding not only of the beverages themselves, but also of the people and cultures behind them.
As Miss SAKE Japan, I hope to share the beauty of Japanese sake while building meaningful connections with people around the world. I will do my utmost to convey the taste of sake, along with the stories, traditions, and spirit that it embodies.
